Sign language

People with hearing disabilities are often taught sign language in order to communicate. How long does it take to be proficient in signing?

Most kids pick it up quite fast and so do adults. I guess it depends on the person's level of interest. Sign language is an all together different language, but it can be learned with dedication and hard work. ADD COMMENT

It also depends on interest. An interested person always learns faster than an uninterested one. ADD COMMENT

Kids can learn very fast! Its amazing how fast they can learn sign language! Adults are good too but they tend to become easily disappointed compared to kids. ADD COMMENT
