some people are born deaf, some may develop as they grow, while some may be a result of an accident. incase you don't know, sometimes this is hereditary.

anything that blocks the ear canal can cause deafness or may lead to hearing loss. actually there are many conditions that can cause ear to function abnormally so i guess it varies.

It is a complete loss of the ability to hear either from one or both ears. It may be inherited, caused by complications during pregnancy or infectious diseases like meningitis.

Deafness is classified into mild, moderate or profound. It can cause difficulty for patients to communicate properly with others. If they do not have a hearing aid, people who have this disability may expose themselves to greater risk of accidents as they may not hear warning alarms or sirens.

there are several causes for deafness. it can be genetic, hereditary, inborn or due to damage from loud noise and other health condition.
